Why Support Research at the Repat?
The Repat is an acute care teaching hospital, dedicated to the care of veterans, their dependents and older people within the community seeking the special expertise and attention the hospital offers. For over sixty years it has delivered a unique level of care and the demand for its services will continue long into the future. Foundation Daw Park has the special responsibility of providing funding, facilities and equipment to support key areas of the Repat’s future development, particularly research.
Medical research benefits the whole community, but it is expensive. Through Foundation Daw Park, medical research at The Repat can continue to explore a vast range of illnesses which affect veterans and older people generally. As well as the cost of equipment and facilities, funds are needed to support the work of trained professionals whose skills are needed to administer research programs.
