2010 ANZAC Commemoration Gala Ball
May 6, 2010

Another ANZAC Gala Ball has come and gone and what a night it was!
The Ball has grown, so a new location had to be sourced : The New Venue at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The theme was The Middle East this year and with over 440 guests the room was jumping. Guests were welcomed by cameleers (and their camels) harem girls (naturally) and an Australian 1942, 25 Pound Field Gun manned by John Rowe, Tony Cutler and Don Blackmore and kindly lent to us by the National Military Vehicle Museum, all of which set the mood for the evening.
The Ode was recited by Commander Michael Doherty ADC, RAN, Commanding Officer of Navy Headquarters SA after which Major General Jim Molan AO DSC (Retired), our key note speaker gave a very inspiring talk on today's service personnel currently serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Also, with our sincere good wishes our Chairman, Bob Willis, farewelled Chris Jenner, The Foundation's Executive Director, who has now moved on to another posting at Flinders University - we wish her every success in the future.
Fabulous prizes were donated to both our live and silent auctions and we truly thank all of our sponsors, supporters and volunteers, who helped in no small way to make the event so successful.
