Remembrance Day Business Breakfast | 2010

Hosted in conjunction with our community partners Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce and the Defence Teaming Centre, Foundation Daw Park's 2009 Remembrance Day Business Breakfast was well attended with over 180 guests.
The morning's program included the ceremonial recitation of The Ode by Colonel Craig McCarthy CSC, Director Army Personnel Agency - Adelaide and Army Area Representative - SA, after which Bugler, Warrant Officer Class 2 Alwin Kidney performed The Last Post and The Rouse. Also, our new television commercial with background music provided by Peter Barnes "Can you hear Australia's Heroes Marching? " and produced through Channel 9 Telethon, was shown in relation to our current Repat Appeal.
His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, Governor of South Australia spoke of the terrific loss of life during the 20th century's main conflicts and Professor Peter Buckskin, Dean and Head, David Unaipon Indigenous College of Education, spoke on his chosen subject: "United in Battle and United at Home". To end proceedings on a lighter note, indigenous dance group, Kuma Karro danced and charmed everyone with traditional dances coupled with their unique brand of humour.
FDP Chairman, Bob Willis closed the morning's programme by thanking His Excellency and Professor Buckskin for their insightful presentations.
