History of Foundation Daw Park
Foundation Daw Park was established in the 1990s by veterans to raise funds for medical research and patient care projects at the Repatriation General Hospital. The Repat, as it is often fondly referred to, is an acute-care teaching hospital, dedicated to the care of veterans, their dependents and other older people within the community seeking the special expertise and health solutions the hospital offers.
For more than sixty years, The Repat has delivered this unique level of care and the demand for its services will continue into the future. To secure this caring role for generations to come Foundation Daw Park was established.

Fundraising
The Foundation holds its major fundraising campaign, The Repat Appeal, over the month of November (in alignment with Remembrance Day) each year, receiving generous support from the general public and our very supportive donors. We are a Channel 9 Telethon Charity and are linking strategically with the business sector to increase our capacity to fund for medical research and patient care projects at this special hospital.
